Four landscapes. Zero tour buses.
\

Most cycling trips pick one landscape. Terres de l'Ebre hands you four, and none of them have tour buses.
\

In nine days you climb quiet mountain roads through forest and stone villages in the Matarranya, roll through the olive groves and vineyards of Terra Alta wine country, follow the Ebro River as it widens toward the coast, and finish on flat delta backroads to the Mediterranean - flamingos in the lagoons, sea breeze on your left. The roads are the best-kept secret in European cycling: smooth, quiet, and drivers who actually wave.
\

This is not a camping trip and it is not a survive-on-granola-bar adventure. You get a real bed and a proper meal every single night - four-star hotels, a medieval walled town, the delta's riverside capital. Lunches are where the locals eat, or a spread on a quiet road when the route says so. You ride; the logistics disappear.
\

I led Adventure Cycling's 65-day Epic Great Divide by bicycle in 2026. This is the trip I'd take when I want climbing, coast, and a two-hour lunch instead of a century.
\
